About the foundation
In 2020, amidst the COVID crisis, Terry Lee, the founder and CEO of PLA Sports Bar, saw the South Florida community come together to help each other. Inspired by this, he came up with the idea of "PLA IT FORWARD," a charitable initiative aimed at giving back to the community. Along with key players in the community, and supported by philanthropist Tony Robbins, the initiative has since become a big part of the culture at PLA, where every team member is encouraged to have a "be of service" mentality and give back through both PLA IT FORWARD and other local non-profit organizations. The goal is to recognize people who do amazing things without expecting anything in return and to bring self-fulfillment through philanthropy.

DO GOOD FOR THE COMMUNITY
Donating to PLA IT FORWARD (a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, EIN 92-1485958) supports our mission to enhance the South Florida community through three key initiatives:
HERO
The PLA it Forward Hero program recognizes and rewards local community Heroes. None of them do what they do for recognition or reward. It is their purpose. That is what makes them truly worthy of both. This includes First Responders, teachers, veterans, students, parents, and anyone else making a positive difference in our community.
TIME
A big part of the culture at PLA is giving back. Every team member in the PLA family is encouraged to have a “be of service” mentality, which is encouraged to be regularly demonstrated while they are employed at PLA. By participating in initiatives driven by other non-profits throughout our community, separate from providing donations to PLA IT FORWARD’s initiatives, we are also looking to expand this newly created foundation, by donating time, energy, and money to other local non-profit organizations. We also facilitate and promote all in the community to give their time to causes that inspire them.
GIVING
Throughout the year, the PLA team donates to local charities. PLA it Forward also hosts charity events at PLA Sports Bar to raise awareness and funds for other local charities. Past recipients include Operation Underground Railroad, Feeding America/Feeding Florida, American Cancer Society, Folds of Honor, and many others.
With your support, the foundation can continue to make a difference in the lives of those who live in our South Florida communities and help to build a stronger, more united, and supportive community!
